Is your software available on CD-ROM?
All of our software is available on CD-ROM or on 3½" floppies. If you have a preference, please let us know when you order. A CD-ROM can hold around 650 meg, so the main reason for using it is that there aren't quite as many disks to handle.
Do you have icons available to use with your DOS programs when running Windows?
Yes: Download this zipped file of icons and unzip it into your \BP directory. Make a desktop shortcut for any DOS program by following the directions below.
How can I put an icon for a program on my Windows 95 or later desktop?
Right-click on an open area on your desktop. Select New, then Shortcut. Fill in the full path to the program (example: C:\BP\FILL.EXE) and click Next. Type in a name for the program (example: FILL) and press Next. Select an icon and click Finish.
For DOS programs, you'll usually want to make the program appear full-screen and also to close its window when you're done running it. To do this, right-click on the new icon and select Properties. Select the Screen tab and under Usage, select Full-screen. Next click the Program tab and check the box marked Close on Exit. Click OK and you're done.
How do I get COD (Windows version) to run on my XP or 2000 operating system?
Current versions of COD should run without problems. If you have an August 2002 or newer version of COD you do not need the hardware key, and the program should run fine on all versions of Windows.
If you have the August 2001 or earlier version, the best thing to do is update to a current version. Then you can quit using the hardware key. But if you don't want to update: The hardware key people have a program for you to download and run on your computer. It will install the appropriate driver files.
